A story
reading from Growing Deep in God, people in OT learnt their theology from stories, stories their parents told them in awe and wonder and deep personal appreciation of how God was real to them and their forefathers. They caught their theology from these stories. like God saves! God cares! above all, God is Sovereign, God is Love, God is Wise!
And with that i have my own story to tell!
I make reference to the buses that we took at china airport to our planes. They come and leave only when they are filled or when they have to leave. i remember me, waiting with Eddie Dong! (a guy i met at the airport and was speaking to), we there, the bus was packed, there was space. but we were separated from the rest of the team, the time wasnt right. it was either grab the bus with him, or risk him getting on the bus and the bus leaving without me but with him! But "God only wise!" As JI Packer's Knowing God puts it, and i trust that God is soverign over every situation, he is in control, he is love, working all things for my good, and he is wise, working all things for according to His good will and purpose. and in that i trust, and just like the bus, i believe, whatever the case, the right bus will come perfectly accoding to God's will, me entering with Eddie, enabling us to have a large open comfortable bus to talk in, and extended time too.
For in all, i will trust that you are Sovereign, and i hope you will too.
Of course this may hardly make sense to most of you, but to future me, i pray you understand what im saying now for sentiments' sake!
