The Sabbath?

You know, with the way Singapore is(and my bed) there simply is no time to blog.

A bit of background to this post. As i was talking to one of my friends, he asked why some churches worship on sunday and some on saturday. and well, here's the first thing which came to mind-sabbath is actually on the saturday, strictly speaking, friday evening to saturday evening. So why do we worship on sunday? And it also led me to think have i been chucking aside the sabbath all this while? should i, hold to the sabbath?

And so i did some research of my own...and realised this was actually, once again another controversial topic.

Gal 4:10-11 (how you like my new function! i did it myself! HA!) but yes. Here's a start. this is something that rang in my head. Is the sabbath included in this?

Lets step back and think for a second. Why do we not need to have priests like in the past anymore? Because of the finished work of Christ on the tree. the significance? that we had passed from the old covenant(which really pointed to the new covenant), to the new. And this went along with all sorts of stuff, and in the bible especially mentioned being circumcision(Gal 5:2, Col 2:11-14). But what about the Sabbath?

In all the New Testament, ALL, of the commandments were repeated EXCEPT to keep the Sabbath. Neither Jesus nor the Apostles ever commanded for us to keep the Sabbath, infact Paul said otherwise! (Col 2:16-17) For what is the purpose of the Sabbath? Is it not but to marvel at the 6 day creation of the universe, and how man have forsaken the perfection of the "good" creation for sin! And with that the people of Israel remember their Creator God, and their sinfulness. But now, how blessed are we to have Christ!

Why then do we worship on Sunday? how very appropriate to be speaking of this now. In a few days time, we will be celebration Good Friday, and then Resurrection Sunday! So wow in the old covenant, the sabbath was held to remember the Creator God and sin and the falleness of man, Sunday is a day to celebrate and remember God our Saviour who saved us from sin and His Wrath! a day where we can cry out as one Body in Christ "Hallelujah! What a Saviour!"

And there is more to it than that, Jesus showed Himself to His disciples on Sunday, and even the day of Pentecost was on Sunday! it is no wonder that the church Fathers decided to place Worship services on Sunday! All to remember God our Saviour and King! And it is no wonder all the churches around the world have their services on Sunday! it wasn't a random change, it was filled with meaning, to set aside a day to remember our Saviour God, and Saviour King, and Friend. For in Him we now have a new rest, a complete, perfect, spiritual rest.(Heb 4:9)

However, im not saying we should forsake the idea of rest. the Bible still calls for us to have sufficient rest(Psalms 127:2), cause working too hard is not only forsaking your own health, but in some cases, also show our inability to fully trust in all that Christ is for us. But that shall be for another day.

Also, it would definitely be good to still continue to remember God the Creator on the seventh day of the week, to marvel at His creation and remember how man sinned and forsook all that God had intended, and then remember God our Saviour who sent His one and only son to pay the price of our sins(john 3:16), that in Him we stand completely forgiven(Col 2:13-14)!

Verse 1:
Oh how strong the power of Jesus' name!
It is stronger than any other name
How sweet the vict'ry that bore my shame
took the burden of my sin away

Verse 2:
Oh how great the kindness our God has shown
We were strangers, now we're called His own
His grace has welcomed the sinner home
Tender mercies, lead us to The Throne

Verse 3:
Oh what peace the Spirit of Jesus brings
through the trials He will carry me
One day, in Heaven, our eyes will meet
Filled with wonder, all the saints will sing

Hallelujah! What a savior!
I owe everything to Him
Hallelujah what a savior
Hallelujah to my King!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah to my King!

Speculations?

how do you actually make your font bigger? i think i totally ruined the start of my post. so just ignore this whole paragraph. its mainly for AHEM who reads this to like, do something about it or something. ha.

Speculations. Something that the Bible calls us to refuse! And what could be worse about speculations of the bible! Today I've come to realise something. As teachers of the word, it is very easy to mislead MANY just by one speculation and it is no wonder that teachers shall be judged more strictly!

I shall not name names, for the purpose of this post is most definitely not to shoot people down. Rather, it is to make aware of the importance of accurate interpretation of scripture. Let me give some background of how this happened.

Someone today talked to me about the old testament. and some how reached the point on Gen 15:13-14(the part where God tells Abram that his descendants are going to be in a foreign land, enslaved and oppressed for 400 years). He basically raised the possibility of it refering to the blacks in America. And this he heard from someone who most definitely heard from someone somewhere who was a preacher. Of course they had their "reasons" for saying so. For example, we dont know for sure that they were enslaved for 400years. But we can count how the Negroes were/are oppressed for 400years in America.

I mean, the first thing which came to my mind was, NONSENSE! and then i began going about so many different approaches to debunk this. i went on to say how slavery was abolished long long ago. we even have a black president in America! PLUS, in the context of that passage, the descendants obviously referred to that of the promised child- Isaac. However he was still not convinced.

One preacher preached this. and caused many people to "open up" to other ideas. to "not be so closed up! Especially in the end times that we are living in! for this has great significance to us". but really. To take that promise out of context and put it in this situation is the first i've heard, and it can cause dire consequences! This actually linked on to many other side topics which i shall not share at the moment. But really, i made one mistake. I tried to debunk this speculation with my intellect. what i should've done right from the start, was interpret scripture with scripture.

Going to Acts 7 after quite a long "debate" immediately the "shady area" was made clear. everything was explained. but imagine, how many people have thought of this if can even call, heresy! And to be disguised as "opening up to other possibilities" when things are clear in the context. It is such speculations, or maybe even myths that would be intriguing to people of the world. But what are we called to do? Not deliever messages that people want to hear, but we are called to preach the word! to preach the gospel! That man are sinners can cannot save themselves! God sent His son to die for OUR SINS, that we may be made righteous IN CHRIST.

And again i now say,
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound [1] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (2 Tim 4:1-5)

And this i can say in full assurance for it is the word of God. and i am merely speaking the word.

15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (2 tim 2:15)

Preach the Word. not "foolish and ignorant speculations." Know His word, that you will be ready to identify false teachings(and not be a false teacher!), that you will fulfill your ministry as an evangelist.

Sola Scriptura!

(i realised this post is somewhat messy and hard to understand. so if you want to clarify anything, feel free to ask me! Soli Deo Gloria!)

Pride

I once thought, for a man(MALE), the greatest slipperiest downfall would most definitely without a doubt be lust. I wont say im totally wrong, but i've come to realise that for the position of "easiest-to-fall-into-sin", there is a great contender- Pride.

It is no wonder that God speaks about pride ever so often in His word. and only the proud would brush this off and think,"This is not for me, im fine!" In fact, its not just in issues on pride, but really anything in the bible. I for one was once subjected to this, and maybe even still am subtly, and that indeed is the greatest mistake.

Pride often gives so many ways of entry into our lives, and the worse thing yet, is it can be disguised so easily to be "acceptable". However the reality of Pride is this-it is essentially turning away from God, and finding your satisfaction in yourself. This could be even in the form of anxiety! For the only reason why you are anxious, is because instead of placing your trust in the Omnipotent God, you place your trust in yourself to get things done. and then you worry for you realise your inadequacy. And all this, is not Faith in God.

Jeremiah 9:23-24
23Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;
24but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.

As i saw this on the sanctuary wall, it once again served as a great reminder. For what do i have that i have not recieved from God, and if i have, how can i boast in it, but rather let Him who boasts boast in the Lord! that He knows all things come from His grace and let Him be glorified!

So much more can be said about pride, but i dont intend to make my posts all mini sermons. But really, how easy it is to fall into the clutches of pride. Be it in seeking recognition, be it in wanting to be approved by man, or not be seen as weak, or even wanting to be seen as knowledgable, especially for one who teaches. For "knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies" (1 cor 8:1) But no, Father i will trust in You, in who You are and all that You are for me. I dont care what people think, i dont care what people say, for do i seek the approval of men! may it never be! Help me to love You, and thus love people, that i will do all things out of love, lest i be arrogant or boastful, that i will be satisfied fully in You, that You will be glorified! Amen.

Bad Day

today, i could write an Essay. "wo zui dao mei de yi tian"

Okay, it wasnt THAAAT bad, but like, bikes obviously dont like me. i went to pick my sister up from school, cycled there, upon cycling back, the chain come out. and maybe some of you are thinking, "chain come out, very easy fix back what!" i thought so too. but that wasnt the problem. it came out every 3 seconds of peddling. and maybe your thinking, "then you should've stopped cycling and push!" as the saying goes, "Once bitten twice shine, twice bitten, never try, thrice bitten, you should just die." im quite sure i was bitten around....5-6 times. haiz. but eventually, with black fingers(the grease), i gave up. That wasted 1 hour of my day. really.

Then came tuition. i was gonna cycle the OTHER bike there(its smaller...and highly POSSESED by my sister if you know what i mean). but my dad said, he'll fix the bike in a jippy, so i thought why not! after 15 minutes and what not, he said there! so i cycled it to the lift and back just to make sure. and it was FINE! then when i went down, and cycled for like, 30metres, THE CHAIN CAME LOOSE. so i pushed it back home.

Grabbing the smaller bike, transfering the lock, i quickly went down, only to realise that my front tire had no air. but i was terribly late for tuition so i thought, i'll pump after tuition.

After tuition, i went to pump air. and wow pressing the tire, i realised why it was flat so fast, the thing had come out of alignment, and my pressing, took it TOTALLY out of alignment, resulting in literally a FLAT TIRE. and there, i pushed my bike home.

And as i was walking back, i was thinking, what a "great" day! but then, this is when God's Sovereignty once again struck me. For every weird occurance, for all you know, God could've been protecting me from an accident! but one thing i know for sure, through all these weird occurances, i know God's in control. instead of going off cursing and going into self pity, God was once again glorified through this.

Really, even if i wasnt protected from some accident, i know one thing. God used this to teach me once again, that in all things, give thanks! Give thanks for he is good and His love endureth forever! For He is God, and He is Sovereign, reigning over ALL, i know He's in control! And just having Faith in Him, letting all things rest in His mighty hands, who am i but a foolish little man, to pit myself against God's omniscience?! You are Lord over all, and i exalt you in my shortcomings, and praise you with songs of gladness!

He is Sovereign, and i live in His Sovereign Grace.

God IS Sovereign!

no im not gonna talk about the sovereignty of God, for that would take a few chapters of summaries! (infact any topic about God should take that long, not claiming that i could but IT would and should) But the Sovereignty of God is something which i guess He has been teaching my so very strongly recently.

God is Sovereign, He is in control of all things! and this should be the BEST news for you! and it certainly was for me. seeing how God orchestrated all things for the good of those who love Him(and by this i dont just mean myself), it really is awesome.

I guess when you come to acknowledge this fact, very much nothing can be a "mistake", even if it should be avoided in the future. Oh Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Grace

okay, i'll be skipping a whole lot of chapters, infact i probably wont exactly be doing about the book so much, but rather main themes of my thoughts, which most obviously would come from the books im reading and of course, the bible. This is because i realised, i'll take eternity to finish this, and i'm certainly not driven by the thought of eternity!(would pun be appropriate here? nevermind...)

Grace is such a wide topic, with just far too many things to say. so i'll probably be spreading this out over a few posts. Also, I shall touch on a few points that i find especially meaningful to the few(and by few, i really mean few) readers that i have. Hopefully what would shine through is the power of the Gospel:)

Do you guys realise something about all of Paul's epistles? if you've been talking to me long enough, you may have realised it. It always begins with Grace and peace(sometimes without peace) to you, and ends with Grace with you from God in Christ Jesus our Lord. But whats always present is Grace.

To understand grace we have to fully understand Depravity. There are so many references that i could use for this. But i'd like simply to look at just one of such passages-Isaiah 53.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

The great blessings that are found in this verse! (infact in the whole chapter if you would just pause for a moment and meditate on it) ALL we like sheep have gone astray, EVERY ONE! and then the verse goes on to say, and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

WE TURNED AWAY FROM HIM. Im quite sure i did not read "Each one of us like mice, found its way to the cheese, and the LORD thus provided us with cheese abundant."
NEY! it says we GONE ASTRAY, we did not choose God! He chose us! that While we were still sinners, Christ died for us!(rom5:8,9) and that is how He showed Unending love, Amazing Grace. To embrace this in Salvation, to realise that it "10 it was the will of the LORD to crush him; " for in order that we, as sinful as we may be, can be made righteous in Christ, it to understand that every second we breathe, is a second of grace shown to us. That salvation is by grace and grace alone! Immense joy will then overflow from the knowledge of this! It is then when we realise that the gospel, the true, full gospel exalts God, and humbles man, as the hymn goes

All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

Because of the cross, all grace abounds in Christ, that every second from here on, is future grace. The reason why Paul starts of and ends all of his letters with Grace and peace, (1) because that is the greatest blessings possible! the blessings of salvation! and may i humbly suggest (2) that all that he writes, is the Word of God, and in it, grace abounds bountifully for you! and when he says grace with you, he expects that after you put down the bible, the active and living word of God will continue to be with you giving you grace. That as Christians, In Christ alone, we have secure standings in the Word and the supply of God's future grace for us.
Many things hang on this supply of Future Grace. Let me just provide you with one for now.

Future Grace for weary saints. One thing i realised through deeper examining of scripture us that, more often then not, when the bible talks about strength, it is usually spiritual strength, strength to endure and i've come to realise this. God doesnt demand physical strength, no! "Be strengthened... in the inner man."(Eph 3:16)
"It is good for the heart to be strengthen by grace"(Heb 13:9) "Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim 2:1). Once again, we are strengthened by grace in Christ Jesus.

"1Now, brethren, we wish to make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia,
2that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.
3For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord,
4begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints," (2 cor 8:1-4)

The Grace of God enabled them to endure hardship, to go beyond their ability help, it strengthened them and spurred them on, most of all, joyfully. Is scripture not explicit in saying "My grace is sufficient for you"? and that "(His) power is perfected in weakness"? When we are weary, burdened or in pain, we turn back to look at God'd grace shown to us on the cross(that i will speak of more in detail tmr or something), be filled with immense joy and gratitude, and then look forward believing that "God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed." (2 cor 9:8) ALL GRACE. and with that be strengthen as you Rest in Him and His grace and ALL THAT HE IS for you!

Grace With you,
Aaron

The Gospel

What better way to present the Gospel, then straight from the bible! I pray it will minister to you the way it did to me!

Isaiah 53

Who has believed what he has heard from us?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth.

10Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him;
he has put him to grief;
when his soul makes an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors.

This will be relevant to my future posts. after all, it is the precious, sweet gospel! Notice how everything is what God and Jesus did, where are we? no where but the receiving end, Sola Gratia! Praise God who saved my soul! Soli Deo Gloria!

WELL... i realised, read too much to post. lol. really. okay anyway let me re begin on explaining the background to the book a little bit.

I briefly explained earlier what Faith and Future Grace actually mean. of course i will inevitably further explain it as i talk about the book. But here's something i really like about the book. its rather practical. Not only is it categorized very well, to explain Piper's whole belief, it has practical application chapters on how we can apply what we have learnt to sever the root of sin. and you know whats the best part? you dont have to wait till the end. HA. The book is presented in such a way where the chapters which deal with issues such as Anxiety, Pride, Misplaced Shame, Impatience, Covetousness, Bitterness Despondency and finally, Lust.

This book has really enriched me much, through the prayerful reading of this book with my open bible beside it, refering to it ever so often, (almost every 10seconds..that sorta thing!) I can only say one thing, if there's one thing this book did, it allowed me to see the gospel in a fresh way, re-experience the gospel for its richness and beauty. Oh how great the Power of the Gospel; God's power to save! Living by Faith in Future grace i would really say, is getting to know the Gospel in a deeper way, such a way that it fills you with the Joy of the Lord! And when this happens, you come to appreciate and treasure the gospel down to every morsel(and i do use morsel for a reason), and really it saddens me to know, how many people out there dont know the truth. the truth of God's Word, His Holy Wright, His Gospel, His Work! It truly showed me full well that for years now, i've been living in ignorance of the true beauty of simply what God has done, dare i say i know much i'd be lying! all that has truly occured to me, is showed me HOW MUCH I DONT KNOW! and if this is just what God has done, that has revealed a bit of who He really is, how much dare i say i know of Him! how much dare i say i know Him! and with that, i shall begin about this "rich and wise book, one to treasure and reread."-J.I Packer

PART I: GRATITUDE & FAITH

Let me begin(ha ironic) by asking a simple question. What do you think should be our motivation for obedience? What do you think should enable us to obey God? Perhaps many of you have thought Gratitude. This book begins in a very interesting way. instead of starting off in telling you how Faith in Future grace works, it starts off by exposing a common error that many people may have had, even myself when i first started off.

Just in case you have not realised gratitude isnt the answer. Why? Think of it this way. You think, you know, "God has done so much for me, surely i'm indebted to give you back!" Well, as my cell leader always says, and even i commonly say, "verse, reference?" It may shock you to know that as far as i have tried when i first read it, i know not of such a reference. No doubt gratitude IS essential in ascribing to God honour and glory(psalms 100:4, 50:23) but we should not obey God out of gratitude.

You see, you cant pay God back, or that would most definately NULLIFY GRACE! if i give you something out of goodwill, do i really expect you to pay me back some day? but if you have to, that would mean that what i gave isnt completely free! start to see where im driving at? Remember how i said for answers to all things, we should turn to scripture? what then is the biblical motive for obedience?

Faith. "How long will they not believe in Me despite all the signs which i have performed in their midst?"(psalms 14:11) The reason God gave for their disobedience was none other than a lack of Faith, Faith in what? In Him, in what He has in store for them, in the fact that He is sovereign and will provide all full well for them, Faith in Future Grace. So many other passages make this O so clear, Duet 1:31-32, Psa 78:15,17,22! These passages all show so clearly the position of Faith and Grace in respect to obedience!

I quote John Piper-"Gratitude exults in the past benefits of God and says to Faith, "Embrace more of these benefits for the future, so that my happy work of looking back on God's deliverance may continue."" No doubt in those passages, they have lacked gratitude, however Faith was the reason for their disobedience.

I end of this section with a quote once again fro John Piper-"Past Grace is glorified by intense and joyful gratitude. Future Grace is glorified by intense and joyful confidence. This faith is what empowers us for venturesome obedience." Faith in Future grace allows us to truly meet "Give thanks in all circumstances" which could be found sprinkled everywhere in the bible, as we truly believe that out of God's amazing grace, He will turn all past calamities into future comforts, causing all things to work for our good, allowing us to look back with gratitude for all things.

Grace be with you,
Aaron

The Purifying Power of Living by Faith in Future Grace-John Piper

Five posts. thats quite pathetic for an average blog isnt it? i mean, even josh has more posts than that! HAHA

Anyway yes. Here i am beginning my first step to a long journey. this would probably be a weekly thing at most. my next few posts are most probably gonna be about a book im reading - "The Purifying Power of Living by Faith in Future Grace-John Piper"

Personally i feel it is a very blessed book. Even though ive only read a few chapters so far, it has deeply enriched me. and a primary reason for this is, its soaked in scripture. (oh cool. i pressed bold and this thing came out. does that mean what i typer here is bolded? HA. the blogging adventures of Aaron) so im gonna assume its bolded. NOTE: one thing that ive learnt with my recent adventures of reading is that, a very good way to identify a good book, is that the book has just SO MANY SCRIPTURES i really dunno how this bold thing works. i hope it works out. but really, what is the most blessed book in all the world? THE BIBLE. what text has the audacity to claim that it is infallible; that it is the living Word of God; that it can pierce asa far as joints from marrow, the intentions of the heart! There's only one book that fits all of that, and IS all of that. THE BIBLE! you know the question if you were stuck on an island, what would you take with you, pray that your answer, and mine too, will be the Bible.

A good book will be one centralized around the Bible, around the Word of God, around the GOSPEL. that all it tries to do, is teach, FROM THE BIBLE, and verify that WITH THE BIBLE. and maybe provide examples, more often than not, FROM THE BIBLE. if not, why read a "Christian" book! why not read some leadership book from some bookstore!

Today's speaker- Mr Wilson Phang gave a stunningly short sermon. that was when i realised what has happened to "In God we trust". i was speaking with my dad, and he told me, that in America, services last a MAXIMUM of ONE HOUR. hence sermons can only be a maximum of half an hour, OR LESS. and should it drag on, people will most definately complain. THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD BEING PREACHED! THE LIVING, ACTIVE WORD OF GOD! and it is compromised because of culture. I believe Mr Wilson Phang had a great message. His message was on "Christ, the Rock and Refuge" But unfortunately because of the culture he has been immersed in, he timed himself too well. But the reason for bringing him up is to comment on something he said.

He, was a trained psychologists. And he said that for a long time after he was trained, he made a very very big mistake. he began to rely more on what he has learnt to teach people when they came to him, what he had learnt to even preach! BUT THEN, he said this. (paraphrased cause i obviously dont remember exactly what he said)-"But i was wrong! terribly wrong! If you have any troubles, any worries, any issues in life. should i teach about marriage or managing adolescence, there is no better way, THIS(holding up the bible in one hand) is what you should turn to!" And he couldnt be more right. The Bible is Sufficient! there's a reason why its called the Holy Bible you know. and so, i shall finally begin about the book-"The Purifying Power of Living by Faith in Future Grace-John Piper"!

So far, ive read 10 chapters of the book. Let me just give you a brief introduction to what the book is about.

The author defines Future grace as this- grace that is shown to you from this point on, meaning as i complete this sentence, till i see God in heaven and am glorified! and even then i believe i will still be enjoying future grace, the greatest grace of all, to be glorified in heaven, spending eternity with my King and my Lord!

Also, Faith is that which Justifies, but also that which purifies, or sanctifies. IT IS 2 DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT Faith with justifies necessarily sanctifies. I believe i will explain my thoughts on this in time to come. you know, its so late. so i think i'll continue my post about the book tomorrow or something.

(i apologise for the long posts, and longer posts to come, but really, if you think this is long, wait till you see the sermons of Spurgeon! I will not confirm to the patterns of this world where they are wanting messages which tickle their ears!)

a short disclaimer. My posts are most definately NOT to make myself look noble or anything of the sort. for all that i have, and am, is from Christ and in Christ. Should you be edified by these, Praise be to God, for He has chosen to use a wretch like me. Soli Deo Gloria-All Glory to God!

The Great Awakening.................of my blog!

really quite great now isnt it? haha, yes, why am i doing this? i have no idea. but beware from now onwards, i'd be blogging far more regularly!

Okay, my reason behind it, is that i will be posting my thoughts on books that im reading, sharings that im preparing and the like. this is for easy referencing, printing, and more importantly collating when im writing book reviews...HA

so evntually, its me being lazy again. BUT, i guess its cool to let the world know whats on my heart. This has been an idea of mine for quite a while, just never started. hopefully it will sustain. and like, now is the best time to do it! with Os and my commitments...(can you sense the sarcasm?) but really there's no better time. im actually posting, SO DONT give me the nonsense about how ipost, my blogskin, my whatever, its for content and content only. everything else- REFER TO CLARA, the author and perfecter of my BLOG. hahahaa that was amusing. for those who didnt catch that, it means you need to read more bible. or you could just listen to more cliches(i have a feeling i spelt this word wrong).

OH YES, and rule for readers, please dont say stupid stuff like i spelt a word wrong. i honestly dont care unless it is of utmost important like theological words. so why am i still here. this is longer than i intended. watch out for my nect few posts. muhahahahhaa
